Great Orthopedic Quotes
"If you get an intra-operative xray, you expect nothing but prefection. If you get a post-operative xray, you except everything but a complete failure."
If a surgeon does not like the implant position on the intra-operative xray, it takes maybe 10 minutes to change the implant position since the patient is still in the operating room. If a surgeon does not like the implant position on the post-operative xray, it takes an hour and half and another anesthesia to correct the problem.
"Everything works some of the time."

This is a great quote to remind everyone that just because some doctors and new technologies can show off some amazing success stories of patients with joint replacements, we should be judge more by our failures than our successes. In other words, patients would be better served by a surgeon and/or technique that has 0% excellent results, 98% good results, and 2% failures than a surgeon that has 70% excellent results, 0% good results, and 30% failures.
